Natasha Eggleston
Candidate for Council
I am currently an ENAS working at Biggenden MPHS which is a rural facility in the Wide Bay HHS. We provide care for aged care residents, acute patients, outpatients and have a small emergency department for emergency presentations. I am a strong advocate for our aged care residents and rural members. I believe that we need to do more to recruit and try to retain nurses and midwives in the bush and small rural communities. I am striving for a positive change in these areas and to be a voice for our most vulnerable.
I have been an active QNMU Local Branch member since 2009, a Delegate and Workplace Representative since 2011. I am currently a Health and Safety Representative and have previously worked for the QNMU as a Member Organiser.
I am an enthusiastic nurse and midwife advocate and I have a strong commitment to the professional interests of QNMU members. It will be a privilege and an honour to represent our members if elected.
Our QNMU Members United Team has a track record of success, a plan to keep nursing and midwifery strong, and we're asking for your vote.
